SHADOWS FALL And THE HAUNTED Look Forward To OZZFEST 2005

March 16, 2005

In a brand new press release issued by Century Media Records, SHADOWS FALL and THE HAUNTED have commented on their participation in this year's Ozzfest.

SHADOWS FALL's latest album, "The War Within", has sold over 250,000 copies in under six months time and garnered accolades in such mainstream publications as Billboard and Blender, among others. SHADOWS FALL were also recently hailed as a "Band To Watch In 2005" by Rolling Stone, Spin and Stuff magazine.

Commented SHADOWS FALL singer Brian Fair (vocals): "This is going to be a huge opportunity for us to prove ourselves onstage with some of the greatest bands in the history of metal. Playing the second stage of Ozzfest 2003 was one of the highlights of our career and now we have a chance to step it up on the main stage. We thank all of the people out there that have helped to make this such an incredible year for SHADOWS FALL and we can't wait to see you all on the road!"

Swedish thrash titans THE HAUNTED triumphantly returned in 2004 with their critically acclaimed release, "rEVOLVEr", which also featured the long-anticipated return of original vocalist Peter Dolving. The group annihilated U.S. audiences this past fall on the Devastation Across The Nation Tour alongside DAMAGEPLAN and SHADOWS FALL, and will soon embark on a massive U.S. tour with MACHINE HEAD this spring.

Peter Dolving (vocals) further explained the group's excitement over being part of this year's Ozzfest: "We're absolutely thrilled to be a part of this year's Ozzfest lineup and we're looking forward to bringing our own downright mayhem to the fest, no holds barred. As I'm writing this we're in the middle of touring through Europe with CRADLE OF FILTH having just come off five weeks of sold-out headlining shows throughout Scandinavia and the U.K., which was 100 percent hedon madness. We want to take the opportunity to thank our fans for making this the most outstanding year so far since we started this band. The Ozzfest is no doubt guaranteed to be the major U.S. rock event of the year and getting to be a part of that feels completely insane. We'll see you in the pit!"
